Historical Society Quarterly Speaker Meeting

Bastrop County Clerk Rose Pietsch, will speak in the Courtroom of Court at Law Judge Benton Eskew at 804 Pecan Street. Pietsch has served as Bastrop’s County Clerk since 2002, and worked in the office for 13 years prior to that. “The amount of publicly recorded information in this office is considerable,” Pietsch said. “The law sets up the County Clerk’s office as the place where members of the public must register the important facts about our lives. And that means that going back to the beginning of Texas, those records are maintained and available for research.”
