VFW Veterans Day Event - Smithville

Memorial Day 2019: Monday, May 27, 2019.  Come join the men and women of VFW Post 1309 in our Veterans Day event.  We will have a ceremony starting at 11am followed by a hamburger and hot dog lunch free to the public.  Thee will also be a 52-card deck raffle, a 50/50 drawing and a cake walk.  Guest speaker Supt. Cheryl Burns. The Bastrop County Honor Guard and the American Legion essay winners will also be there!  Honoring those who have served and those currently serving.
